Hand knotted rug
Magnificent carpets knotted around the village of Hosseinabad in northwestern Persia. The decoration on these carpets is usually of the so-called Herati type, inspired by the ancient Farahan carpets. These carpets are included in the Hamadan group of carpets.
Being made of wool, it is a natural dirt repellent, has good fire resistance and maintains its shape very well over time.
This rug has a history: it has been used. It is in good condition, but may have some small defects, signs of the passage of time. Rugs appreciate in value over time.
